First Aid at Work Training
A comprehensive three day course covering a wide range of First Aid emergencies and how to deal with them, enabling participants to qualify to the level of First Aider for the workplace meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
This First Aid Training course can be tailored to the requirements of specific work environments.
Aims of the Course:
At the end of the course participants will be able to:
- Assess and prioritise a First Aid incident.
- Deal with an unconscious casualty.
- Carry out resuscitation (CPR).
- Control bleeding and manage shock.
- Deal with injuries to bones, muscles and joints.
- Deal with a casualty suffering burns and scalds.
- Manage eye injuries.
- Deal with casualties overcome by fumes or suffering from poisoning.
- Deal with a broad range of common injuries and illnesses until the arrival of medical care.
- Maintain records.
- Use and maintain First Aid kits.
Course duration: 3 days
Course certification:
On successful completion of this First Aid Training course and final assessment participants will be awarded a First Aid At Work certificate approved for the purpose of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, which is valid for three years.

First Aid at Work Refresher:
Course Description:
This First Aid Refresher course is to include a revision of topics covered in the 3 day programme, together with any updates that have been incorporated into the programme since the candidate completed their original course.
Candidates wishing to undertake this training must provide evidence that they hold a current, in date, HSE First Aid at Work certificate.
Course duration: 2 days
Course certification:
On successful completion of the First Aid Refresher course and final assessment participants will be awarded a First Aid At Work certificate approved for the purpose of the Health and Safety (first aid) regulations 1981, which is valid for three years.

This First Aid at Work Refresher course can be delivered in your workplace nationwide.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Emergency Life Support (ELS)
Our ELS Training courses with Defibrillator (Defib) updates are becoming increasingly popular because employers are keen to allow their staff to attend a course that lasts for approximately 3 hours. However, although relatively short in duration this Emergency Life Support training course covers a wide syllabus as follows:
- Assess and prioritise a First Aid incident.
- Deal with an unconscious casualty
- Primary Survey
- Secondary Survey
- Recovery Position
- Carry out resuscitation (CPR).
- Defibrillator update
- Control bleeding and manage shock.
