Whilst we have had much wind and rain of late, summer is certainly upon us as I found out only last Friday whilst playing golf!  Whilst the weather was extrememly grim with very high winds and lots of cloud I still managed to get mild sunburn to my head!  This painful experience could so easily have been avoided had I applied suncream regularly or better still, worn a hat for protection.  However, I did neither and suffered the consequences the following day or two.

Sunburn can so easily be avoided but what should we do if we are caught out?  Sunburn is caused by overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays and if not too serious can be treated with simple first aid treatment.  Follow this link to find out how.
